The increase in solar radiation and temperature as a result of climate change variability has increased sunburn damage to fruits, which highly affects quality yield tropical subtropical fruit plants. Solar injuries because conditions with low relative humidity, fruits left uncovered by foliage, plantations at higher altitudes UV radiation. Three different types on are distinguished: photooxidative sunburn, browning, necrosis the epidermis. Fruits employ self-protection mechanisms against this stress through production enzymatic non-enzymatic antioxidants. Fruit growers try mitigate impact sunburning planting species varieties that tolerant stress, pruning training plants, leaving enough leaves above fruit, efficient irrigation intercropping for shading. More technical mitigation strategies include 1) improving microclimate (shading nets, bagging, evaporative cooling), 2) suppressors (kaolinite clay particle films, calcium carbonate) or 3) chemical protection (tocopherol, abscisic acid, ascorbic anti-transpirants). This paper presents state research its results abiotic some trees, such avocado, banana, citrus, mango, pineapple pitaya, along observations other trees altitude zones.
